They let her know that they’re in charge now and her business will continue to thrive under their watchful eye. Fennec tells the Mayor’s delegate, “Lord Fett offers the gift of your leave unmolested.” ( Disney+īoba and Fennec make their way to a posh cantina-casino, to meet Madam Garsa Fwip (Jennifer Beals). “What? I’m the crime lord, he’s supposed to pay me,” says Boba. While the Mayor is a no-show at Boba’s court, an offensive gesture from the onset, he sends one of his delegates who asks Boba to pay the Mayor.

He is nowhere near as cruel or brutish as Jabba was, especially to those who come to metaphorically kiss his ring. It’s at this point that Fennec wakes Boba up from the bacta tank. Boba is able to subdue it, unties himself, runs, but is ultimately caught and beaten by the Tusken Raiders. Boba is attacked in the middle of the night by a four-legged beast, which we ultimately learn is a pet of the sandpeople.
Boba is tied up next to a red-headed Rodian. He’s found by Tusken Raiders/sandpeople and taken prisoner dragged through the desert by Bantha like some image out of a Leone western. Boba makes his way in the Tatooine desert after the pit, and passes out. Given what we know about the Sarlacc digestive system, let’s hope they washed it really well.By the way, these are all fragments of Boba’s memories which he’s having as he recuperates in a bacta tank (the water-filled hospital tube which we first saw Luke recoup in during Empire Strikes Back after Han Solo rescued him from hypothermia on Hoth). As portrayed in the Chuck Wendig book Aftermath, Cobb got the armor from some Jawas, who are scavengers. Mando objects to Cobb Vanth wearing the armor because Cobb is not a Mandalorian and only Mandalorians are supposed to wear the armor. He took it from Cobb Vanth in exchange for helping his town. How did Mando get Boba Fett’s armor, again? That would explain the prime minister’s haste to dismiss Jango as a Mandalorian, as well-Mandalore’s terrorist past threatened its peaceful revival. The war Jango fought in was presumably the one that took place before even the prequel movies, a conflict that had led most of Mandalore’s warriors to be exiled to a nearby moon by the time of the Clone Wars. The Mandalorians are constantly fighting amongst themselves, forming splinter groups, changing allegiances, it’s a whole thing. What are the Mandalorian Civil Wars that Jango Fett supposedly fought in? Mando accepts that Jango was a foundling like himself and gives the armor to Boba, recognizing that being Mandalorian is a part of his heritage, too. The Mandalorian has since made a distinction between people who are born Mandalorians ( like Bo-Katan) and people who become Mandalorians (“foundlings” like Mando himself), showing the tension between the two groups. This has been a controversy for years, because Jango Fett wore Mandalorian armor, but on The Clone Wars, Mandalore’s prime minister insists that the bounty hunter is not Mandalorian.
