The transmission fully corrupts him and he winds up taking on the form of the Thin Man (who was chasing Mono and Six towards the end of the game). The game wraps up with the skipping of time. It also points out that he hides his face whenever possible. When it comes to appearance, Mono is short and pale, and skinny. However, fans speculate that Mono's name may also be a reference to "monochrome television" (black-and-white television) which is a big part of the game. This is similar to Six whose name is also based on a number (six). It was revealed in an interview with the narrative designer for Little Nightmares, David Mervik, that Mono's name is based on the number one. And while he is the protagonist at the start of the game, he becomes the antagonist at the end. In addition to being the only child in the Little Nightmares series to actually speak, he is also the only one to show his entire face to the player.
